They are flat, circular and without a bead gongs, and are usually hammered so that they take shape from a very shallow dish. Most of these gongs are handmade by artisans in China.
They produce a complex wave of harmonic tones – smaller gongs have higher pitches, while larger gongs are deeper and longer lasting.
Various sizes available.
The slightly convex side is the side where they are mainly touched.
These seem to be the easiest gongs to make, since there is no bead molding or central protrusion.
Often used for meditation or performance sessions.
